10th October - 54mm British Napoleonic infantry update
Set VX5401 '54mm British Peninsular Flank companies' is due for release by 19th October. We are just waiting for the boxes to be printed and shipped to the factory and then they are ready to go. Pre-orders for the 54mm figures will go up sometime next week. We will be giving away a free 54mm British flag to all those customers who order from the time of pre-order to the end of October.
Below are a couple of useful height comparison shots up against Victrix 28mm miniatures and a ruler. You can see that the detail and character in these models is superb, really capturing the flavour of the Napoleonic British soldier of the Peninsular war.
There are 16 figures in the box including officer, sergeant and drummer, plus many arm combinations to make a variety of poses and the figures are easy to convert. Below are a few images of figures from the box showing possible positions and also a couple of conversions. The officer and sergeant have had the left hands replaced with the spare pistol hand that comes in the box.
The figures are great for skirmish games, modellers and collectors and paint up really well. These are just a few examples painted by the very talented Andrew Taylor.
