Hello. If we consider the Persian armored historical cavalry, then the one you released is more suitable as an average. The real armored cavalry was equipped with horse protection, protection of the shins and thighs of the riders and the riders were covered with plate heavy armor. As the medium cavalry you have released is quite suitable for the dioramas of the Persian wars. An important component of the Greco-Persian wars were the battle chariots of the Persians. I hope you will make them too.
Excellent sculpts which I will spend the Xmas break assembling and painting. One of the scale armoured chaps is reserved for Mardonius or Masistios. As in the painting of Plataea, Mardonius will be on an armoured horse (metal) accompanied by spare metal bodyguards.
The rest will be early Persian guard kinsmen. I have a spare metal trumpeter to make up a unit of 12.
Look forward very much to the armoured horses to come in 2022.
Good animation, expressive faces and spoilt for weapon choices.
Thanks again Victrix
Received some armoured cavalry and infantry. Started on the cavalry fitting together well but only just started will be painting soon.
The items I ordered are awesome, the service i received is awesome, and I cannot wait to what they comes out with next. I ordered the Persians and the Roman archers and workmanship is excellent.
As per the other reviewers this set is again full of quality and enables a great diversity in posing of the figures. An added bonus, increasingly apparent in recent Victrix sets, is the effort they go to make them versatile in who they can represent. ie this kit has components to make Successor Heavy Cavalry and can be styled to a huge array of "eastern" cavalries. I'm thinking of doing a brigade of cavalry from Palmyra, Media, Emesa .... All easily created w these guys.
