This sheet contains 12 transfers for use with the Victrix Early Saxon Unarmoured and Armoured Early Saxon Warriors sets.

The Saxons of the 6^th to 7^th centuries used larger shields as they fought in more of a shield wall formation and the larger shield offered more protection.

There are two types of large round shield on the Early Saxon warriors frames. A flat surface and a slightly domed surface. The transfer sheet has a separate column for each type of shield.

All transfers come un-cut.

Early Saxon shieds

I have used little big man - now victrix shields decals many times without any difficulty. I found it very difficult to attach the domed shield decals. No matter how much I pressed/smoothed them the decal stayed attached to the backing not the shield. The flat shield decals were much better but one or two still lifted. I found the buckler decals had a similar problem. I did manage to get the decals in place eventually but it was not easy. I stress that I have used these decals many times without problem in the past
