If its Teutonics you are after...

The Teutonic knights evolved in 1190 from a hospital established by German merchants for German pilgrims during the siege of Acre.

They became a military organisation in 1198 and they only included German knights. Their full title was Teutonic knights of the hospital of St Mary of Jerusalem.

The Knights were commanded by the Hochmeister or Grand Master, and they saw action in Palestine and Armenia.

However their most famous exploits were in fighting the Pagan tribes of Eastern Europe and the Baltic coast.

They waged a relentless and bloody war against the Prussian tribes from 1230 to 1288. Fighting through swamps, marshes, forests and frozen wastes they earned a reputation for ferocity and mercilessness. The territory they carved out became what is known as the Ordensstaat, ruled over by the Hochmeister with Papal blessing.

Kitted out in full mail, lance, sword, shield, cloak and some extraordinary helmets! The Teutonic Knight was a fearsome warrior.

This set contains 12 fantastically detailed miniatures with a huge array of helmet and cloak options. There are helmets with ornate horns and wings and some plainer styles without decoration so the choice is yours.

There is also a sheet of Teutonic barding and shield transfers to decorate your miniatures from Little Big Men Studios. These are purchased separately.

Knights that I favour

It is great to get a set with both mounted knights and the medieval/fantasy heads and cloaks. The detail is excellent, with the cloaks and barding showing the movement really well. Kitbashes well with Foot Knights, I added great axes from that set to a couple of these mounted bodies. The different body angles allow for some great poses whether leaning into a charge or sitting tall and imposing. Definitely recommend this set.

Another excellent set

It is simply another great batch from Victrix. As someone who used to paint the Ral Partha miniatures in the 80's and 90's, these great Victrix knight sets with their great molds and versatility, have me collecting and painting after 30 years away. Thank you Victrix.

Dynamic poses, lots of options, many different weapons and helmets to choose from, nothing complicated about the models and they look spectacular. I prefer them to my Bretonnian Knights.
