These transfers are high quality and really improve the overall appearance of wargames figures. The self adhesive system works really well with shields that have bosses because the boss makes it easier to get the shield in the right place. Not pre-cutting holes for bosses is an improvement because it lets me cut them myself. My only issue is that the price is a bit high. £4.50 for 12 shields is 37.5p per shield for figures that cost about £1 each. For sets that have a good selection of shield sizes this is even more problematic because you either end up having to buy more transfers than you need or compromising on choices about which shields to use. In my case I wanted two units of eight with these shield designs which would have forced me to buy two sets of 12.

As always Victrix products are top of the range! Personally I think that the shield design is perfect also for the Limitanei, maybe Batavii or Frankish, deployed along the "limes" on the Rhine river.
