Norman Crossbowmen

The Miniatures are very detailed and were surprisingly easy to assemble.

Part of my first Victrix Order. They look very good and I will soon be assembling and painting.

All the Saxon and Norman’s bought in a Hastings day deal - just great value, expressive sculpts, good variability, fun to build and a joy to paint (and I’m not a great painter so a base, contrast and wash - but the great figure makes even a basic job look good on the tabletop!)

using the heavy crossbow figures as Sicilian. and the unarmoured as light troops with the leather clad being use for Richard the Lion heart's combined foot.
