This set includes 58 highly detailed figures. These figures represent the Bavarian infantry from 1809, when they adopted more of a French style kit instead of the slung backpack and gaiters.
Whats in the box?
The breakdown is as follows: 36 marching figures, 16 firing figures, 4 command, 2 mounted colonels.
58 x Figures
32 x Marching units
16 x Firing units
4 x Command units
2 x Mounted colonels
The Bavarians are great miniatures with a fantastic amount of variety in heads and poses. My only issue is that the heads and helmets are separate which is slightly annoying to put together. This does not make them any less good looking but it makes construction of the minis slightly fiddly.
I bought 3 bags of Bavarians with the intention of fielding 4 line and 1 light bn for Black Powder. This worked out well and I have to praise the thought that has gone into the moulds, which fit together exceptionally well. Until now, I have had difficulty gluing poses more difficult than March Attack, but was very pleasantly surprised with how well the various 'firing' and 'loading' poses with together! These figures are very highly recommended indeed, and I will probably at least double my collection on the basis of how well these figures went together and how good they look!
Excellent job, good sculpting and moulding, interesting and realistic poses, good repartition between marching and fighting figures. Just could be a little cheaper.
Top quality 28mm figures. Crisp sculpt, perfect details, very good pose variety. This makes me eagerly await for Victrix's next napoleonics...
Amazing looking minis!
