Chasseur à cheval

The set includes 12 dynamic charging French Chasseurs a cheval of the Imperial Guard, one of Napoleons Elite light cavalry Regiments.

They initially started as the Consular guard in 1800 and retained more or less the same uniform from 1800 to 1815, the main difference being the sabretache design and flag (Steve at LBMS will be making sabretache and flag transfers over Christmas)

The set depicts the Chasseurs a Cheval in the striking full dress uniform. The detail of the lace work and Pelisse is superb and will take the paint and washes easily. Even though Guidons were not carried often in the field we have included a flag pole arm and some extra flag poles for those who wish to use them on the French Dragoons and Polish lancers sets we have out.

Whats in the box?

12 x Figures

1 x Command Frames

3 x Trooper Frames

Chasseur a Cheval

Great set of figures that complement the Guard Lancers. Only thing I would have liked is a body option wearing the pelisse so the unit at Austerlitz could have been created. Sadly the pelisse is attached to most of the bodies making a green stuff conversion more problamatic.

Lovely sculpture

I love these chasseur a chevalier. The detail and animation of the figures is in keeping with the very high standards seen by many of the more recent sets like the French dragoons etc. a unit well known for their charges at Austerlitz and Eylau.

Excellent Addition

I enjoyed painting this new set from Victrix. I found the assembly to be easier than on other figure sites.
I was able to put together a nice variety of poses from the parts provided. My only issue was with the ultra fine detail on the lace on the dollars. My tired old eyes really struggled with making that look like braid.
