The Market Stall set contains:Which gives you:
This Market Stall set was created with a strong focus on historical accuracy, drawing on archaeological finds, museum research, and the expertise of living history groups. Each piece was carefully designed to capture the look and feel of real Viking-age artefacts, with inspiration from sites such as Hedeby, Dublin, and Oseberg. Modern artisans recreating these objects also helped ensure every detail reflects genuine craftsmanship and everyday life from the 9th to 11th centuries.
The barrels, pottery, furniture, and tools all take cues from authentic designs from foldable market stalls and sturdy feasting tables to clay furnaces, baskets, and sacks of grain. Even the poultry basket is based on period examples, made to hold a hand-painted chicken.
A friend of mine happens to be a veteran Runequest Dungeon Master (1982 onwards) and has always wanted a market place set up for a ‘Stop thief!’ Scenario. We have figures aplenty. Buildings are not difficult to come by. Of course for any kind of swashbuckling you need props to use as barricades, jumping platforms, hidey holes and you can’t upset the apple cart…if you don’t have an apple cart. The Victrix market stall set is a treasure trove of such scatter terrain. Plus of course it is de riguer for vendors pitches to be as eye-catching as possible. This gives painters an excuse to rummage through the murkier depths of the Lagoon of lethargy. No Dunkelgelb, not this time. Sorry khaki, you have to sit this one out. Oh! Here’s my oils!
The models don’t look too finicky and such sprues will find uses throughout all ages, Pavis, Camelot, pre-revolutionary Paris, Dodge city, a fruit stall selling big juicy oranges in late 1940s New York. What is not to like?
Adds so much to a Mordheim/5 Leagues table, just a lovely wedge of clutter.
I now need to buy more stalls though to make a proper market!
Very nice kit, easy to assemble.
Great product
It's exactly what I was looking for to "bring to life" my Pillage, Barons Wars and fantasy game tables like Guards of Traitor Toll
