Well done in designating any figure. Upset bees don't care who you are if they are upset.
Sheep are not the brightest of creatures but they can be herded if you know what you are doing. The majority of a Dark Ages/Early Medieval force will probably include farmers looking to supplement their incomes. I would allow for two basic foot figures (not professional troops) to be able to herd a flock. Similarly for goats in more eastern european scenarios.
