Victrix Greek Light Troops Review

I'm in the process of collecting and painting a large Atthenian force for use with Men of Bronze. I found Victrix's Greek Peltasts, Slingers and Javelin Men an excellent set which provides the buyer 56 well-designed models. Historically, Athens fielded a large contigent of Psiloi made up of rowers from their fleet. This set will allow me to duplicate that force on the table top battlefield.

A much needed range among the more well know troop types, very morphable

Lets face it, the Hoplites and Spartans get all the hype. The lesser known Peltasts have been much neglected by Hollywood and the media.
But Historically the Spartans were frequenty defeated by light infantry and skirmishers. This set fills a much needed area in wargaming with accuracy.
These figure are excellent sculpts, and historically accurate.
One of the best things I have found about Victrix is that sizes remain consistant. So you can use heads from your Hoplites on your peltasts, and heads from your Peltasts on the slingers
The prues are clean and easy to use. Building figures becomes a pleasure rather than pain. Left over bits are easily morphable onto other Victrix ranges.
I am a wargamer of 3 decades and traditionally have only done 15mm metal due to space/table size and ease of transport considerations.
I was initially hesitant to commit to plastic miniatures and still would be if it wasn't for Victrix.
Some of the competition leaves much to be desired and I nearly gave up on 28mm until I tried this brand.
Now I can't get enough. Plus not made in China for a change which is very refreshing. Support local manufacturing.
