If there is one criticism I would make of the dozen or so Victrix sets I have experience of is that they are over engineered. That might sound churlish given the exceptional standard of sculpting and historical accuracy they have. But the level of flexibility is quite poor sometimes with certain heads and arms only being suitable for certain bodies. Not so with this set though. Sensible poses and universally interchangeable parts coupled with careful design gives you one of the most useful sets on the market that could cover a period of about 600 years from the late roman period onwards. Highly recommended.

In addition to the comments below, the understated thing in this set is the ability to use almost all the poses for back rank Fyrd, combined with extra options from the AS Warriors set, which has so many twisty poses. These guys look can be fitted to be stout blokes in the back ranks more at rest.

Have been waiting on these figures with baited breath and they don't disappoint. The sculpts are beautiful: crisp and really well detailed. Can't wait to get them on the painting table.

Great quality, good price, amazing detail, fun to paint. I love this company's miniature figures! Dark Age Archers are worth while, and make me want to get more from Victrix (even though I have a huge pile of shame to paint still hahaha)
