Greek Unarmoured Hoplites and archers

This exceptional 56 figure set of 28mm hard plastic Greek Unarmoured Hoplites and Archers has superbly detailed figures and a myriad of additional parts allowing hundreds of options when building the figures.

These figures represent Hoplites from mid 5th to mid 3rd century BCE. They show how some Hoplites fought more lightly equipped due to either financial constraints, or to make them more agile when confronted by the increasing threat of skirmishers and Peltasts.

Thrusting their spears overarm or underarm in dynamic, active poses, these miniatures will bring a real sense of movement and action to your Hoplite phalanx.

Nice variety

A good mix of options in this kit and easy to build. Great quality as always with Victrix miniatures.

A bit dated but good and the bowmen help make this set versatile..

Another range for the ancient Greeks series. Unlike more recent releases these figures show minor traces of mold marks. Swords are part of the main figures rather than being adjustable by adding them from the sprue. Most poses are over the shoulder thrusts which makes them less durable if you play games with individually based figures IMO. Still, these are at least equal to the competition. And they are versatile as you could easily add javelins and turn them into Peltasts or Agrainians. Recommended as light hoplites for most Greek factions. The bowmen added to the set make a great addition too.

Good, but might do with more archers

Quite happy with them, especially for the price, but a few more bows would have been nice. Like with the slingers, where there is a spare sling per sprue, a spare bow in addition to a spare quiver could have made 12 instead of 8 archers.

I love it

A lot of parts, you can make a very different army. Great plastic quality.
